A leadership community shaping the future of construction

Connecting and empowering women leaders in construction

FLIC is a leadership community for senior women across construction and the built environment. We create opportunities to connect, share insight, build confidence and increase the visibility of women in senior roles across the sector. Through events, networking, practical workshops and industry collaboration, we support women to lead with confidence and help create a more inclusive future for construction.

Unlocking experienced female talent

Female Leaders in Construction (FLIC) was established to address a critical and persistent gap in the built environment: the under-representation and under-utilisation of women at senior level. While many initiatives support early-career talent, there has historically been little structured support for women as they progress into leadership. FLIC directly addresses this gap, recognising that improving gender balance at the top is essential not only for individuals, but for sector performance, productivity and long-term economic growth.
